About Peace House
Peace House is the centre for VPV activities and is more than just a house. VPV has projects in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tay, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen and Da Nang but Hanoi is where its all managed from. Comprising of three floors it has the capacity for VPV office, living space for many volunteers (both short term and long term), one kitchen, five bathrooms and a large common room. Our house is located in the grounds of a joint metal and stock construction company named COMA 6. Generally, the two organisations are independent, but some volunteers teach English for the workers and VPV also benefit from the security guards of the grounds. Three meals a day are available for all volunteers and a bus service runs right outside the building. Free internet is available and many local amenities are found close by, including a few markets. Volunteers will either be provided with a bicycle or a bus pass, depending on the distance of their project site.
