Volunteers For Peace Vietnam

Volunteers For Peace Vietnam (VPV) is a non-profit, voluntary organization founded in 2005 with the aim to promote voluntary service as a mean of cultural and educational exchange among people, for peace and friendship, and as an approach to address social problems.

VPV receives international volunteers from different countries and places them in suitable projects depending on the interest of the volunteers and the needs of local communities. VPV also brings the opportunities for Vietnamese to join voluntary projects in different countries around the world. By joining our programs, volunteers will experience inter-cultural living and working environment and have a chance to help those in needs.

After establisment 3 years ago, VPV has gained significant achievements in the field of voluntary service and cultural exchange. In the future, VPV's projects will be spread out for development. It means that, VPV will organize a wider range of activities to contribute as much as possible to our local community.

Currently, VPV are focusing on the following programs:

  • International workcamps
  • Mid/long-term international volunteers
  • Community development projects
  • Cultural exchange programs
  • Volunteer training/sending Vietnamese volunteers abroad
  • Vietnamese Volunteers Club

    How to find us:
If you are already in Hanoi city, the best way is to get a taxi. It would cost around 100.000 VND (6-8 USD). The 57 bus runs along Duong 70 if you want to have a crack at the city bus system.
If you are at the Noi Bai (Ha Noi) airport, there are 2 options:

    1. Get a taxi 'Noi Bai' (normally in grey colour ) parking in front of the arrival hall to go directly to COMA 6 building (Peace House). It would cost you around 160.000 VND (10 – 11 USD)
    2. Get a public bus (red & yellow parking on the right end outside the arrival hall).

A bus leaves Noi Bai terminal every 20 minutes. It costs only 5.000 VND (33 cents) to get to Bao Tang Dan Toc Hoc (Museum of Ethnology). A taxi then should be available at the entrance of the museum to go to Peace House. This should cost you around 70.000 VND (4 -5 USD)
